El Paso Comic Con (EPCON) was purchased by Troy Stegner in 2015. The date for the first El Paso Comic Con under the new team was scheduled for April 2016. The event was moved back to the El Paso Convention Center in downtown El Paso. Top tier guests were brought in and El Paso got a Comic Con they could be proud of. El Paso Comic Con is dedicated to bringing a great pop culture experience every year for the residents of El Paso and the surrounding communities.

"El Paso has long deserved a Comic Con of this size and magnitude" says convention director, Troy Stegner. "My vision for the future of El Paso Comic Con is for it to grow outside the confines of the El Paso Convention Center. There is no reason why all the businesses in downtown El Paso can't participate in this annual event. Downtown El Paso has a lot to offer and they are building even more to attract folks."
